Hire music mixes online service called tunein. i was shocked at the level of service the folks at tunein provided, and it was clear from the beginning that this was going to be a huge part of their business strategy. as a former radio dj, i really enjoyed the fact that i could simply add the radio station of my choice to tunein and have that automatically added to the mix. in the last two years we have grown from just a couple dozen users to well over 1 million users in over 200 countries, and we were able to grow our own user base of about 40,000 to well over 100,000 users and counting. when i came to tunein, the service was just starting out when i was approached about launching a service called songkick. this service allowed people to promote their own music by sending it out to their neighbors. songkick took off quickly, becoming our number 1 product and our number 1 revenue source. my role in songkick began to transition to a product development role after my departure from tunein, and i was able to leverage the tunein development team to grow, add features and build a product that we are extremely proud of today. this year we are focused on improving the functionality of songkick to provide people more ways to discover, love and share their favorite songs. i'm incredibly excited about the continued expansion of the network, and i couldn't be more honored and humbled to join such a great and inspiring team.
